Bluetooth A2DP

For Bluetooth to work fine in any phone or any device depends on the profile. A Bluetooth profile is a wireless interface specification between devices that use Bluetooth-based communication. Only if the device is compatible with certain Bluetooth profiles, will it be able to work fine.

For a Bluetooth handsfree to work fine, generally there would be a handsfree profile. But to stream audio from the phone to the Bluetooth handsfree, you need to have the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). It is this profile that defines how audio can be streamed from one device to an other over a Bluetooth connection.

I found this particular site where it lists all A2DP compatible phones.

Finally, when I tried the bluetooth set with my N70, what I found was that we can answer calls, listen to music as well - music which is stored in the phone, but not the FM Radio. So, if I am right, we can use bluetooth set to answer calls and listen music with most of the phones, but only few sets support A2DP for FM Radio. Any comments appreciated.
